Introduction to Corrugated Board Production Equipment

The production of cardboard boxes has evolved from a single machine, purely manual operation. Up to now, there are various production processes. The corrugated sheets are pressed by a single facer machine, then laminated with a manual laminating machine, and finally the corrugated cardboard is made into cardboard boxes using a single printing machine, a slotting and corner-cutting machine, and a box-nailing machine.

Combining multiple individual machines to form a line, which is now referred to as an automatic corrugated board production line, this line can be classified into A-type line (with smaller diameters for the corrugating rollers and preheating rollers), B-type line (with larger diameters for the corrugating rollers and preheating rollers), and Z-type line (where the corrugating rollers of different types can be quickly replaced). Additionally, there are low-speed lines, medium-speed lines, and high-speed lines.

Use a single facer machine to press the corrugated board, use a lithographic press to print the colored surface paper, combine the surface paper with the single-sided corrugated board using a laminating machine, then cut it into shape with a die-cutting machine, and use a gluing machine to bond the corrugated board to make a colored corrugated carton.

The corrugated cardboard production line mainly consists of the following individual machines and systems:

  1. Cordless roll paper holder
  2. Paper preheater
  3. Single facer machine
  4. Conveyor bridge
  5. Multiple preheaters
  6. Double facer machine
  7. Electric control system
  8. Steam system
  9. Thin blade slitter scorer machine
  10. NC cutter
  11. Stacker
  12. Air system
  13. Waste paper recycling system
